How to cope with COVID19 crisis with kids letter#1... Totsticker's donation to our essential workers

Dear all moms/dads/parents/grandparents/uncles and aunties,

First of all, as the first letter in response to the COVID-19, I wanted to say that I wish everyone is safe, healthy and doing well.

I can speak for myself and my family, that it was certainly a very tough period of time for us. Our family is in California (more to come for others in Totsticker family), and that means like many of you, we have been stuck at home since almost a month ago. As a mom myself, it hasn't been easy.

Before March, I was a working mom and I looked forward to seeing my kids from work everyday. Then all overnight, I couldn't go to office every and I had to start working AND taking care of my kids (plus another BIG kid, AKA husband) 24/7. I never imagined in my life that I was not looking forward to wake up everyday - at least the first 2 weeks for sure. It was non stop, get up, feed the kids, setting up work from home office, feed the kids again, do the chores, back to work more, and the dinner comes and I was already dead tired by 7pm. By the time my kids went to bed, I did not have much energy left - and yet, I loved my job, loved it so much that it was a relief to work from 8pm - 12am everyday - even though it was not as efficient, hence the first 2 weeks was just to set up work from home (printers, computers, name labels, office desks... you name it)

..And then now it's week 4. And I am finally able to sit down and type this very first blog to all of you out there. It is not because I am doing a better job, but I started to appreciate our lives again.

Again?

Yes. I am now able to appreciate that we still have a job. We can still be with our families at home, safe and healthy. We still have food to feed our kids. Think of all the NHS / Healthcare workers / Groceries store workers or just any essential workers out there still running the society. How can I even complain?

Today is Easter. No matter what religions do you believe in, I just wanted to say that we should all appreciate what we have, and stay positive and together on this fight. Since the end of March, Totsticker has donated 1000 orders to healthcare workers who have to put their kids in daycare/nannies/family helpers.

And we won't stop there. We plan to donate hundreds more of our waterproof/kids identification stickers to essential workers who are going through the same. We are fortunate to be able to function from home, and the least we can do for all of you out there, is to help you feel safer when you drop your kids off before your work.

All you need to do - just message us directly on https://www.facebook.com/totsticker/, and we will connect with you to set you up for the free stickers. No questions asked.

Again, we will win this war with the virus. Stay healthy, stay tuned for our next blog. Take care everyone!

Love,

Kitty
